Hand-Painted Shoebox Illustration for Nike at Vitra Design Museum
THE CHALLENGE
Nike and the Vitra Design Museum invited me to create a custom artwork for “Form Follows Motion”, the first-ever Nike exhibition, held in Basel between September 2024 and May 2025. For this project, I wanted to blend my love for art and sports in a meaningful way.

How might I merge art and sports to create a meaningful piece that celebrates movement and community?

THE OUTCOME
I took an original Nike orange shoebox and hand-painted it, transforming it into a unique piece of art. The design reflects my past as an athlete and celebrates the importance of community in sports, featuring the tagline Life is a marathon, but you're not running alone. Alongside the artwork, I created a video showcasing my creative process, from the first brushstrokes to the final details. In the voice-over, I shared my thoughts on art and design, emphasizing that your style should always evolve, just like movement in sports. The final video became part of the exhibition in Basel, allowing visitors to experience both the artwork and the philosophy behind it. This project was a true fusion of creativity, personal passion, and the dynamic spirit of Nike.
